Wind Turbine and crane

Stealth Wind Turbines

We have used metamaterials to enable wind turbines to work in harmony with local airport and weather radar systems, leading to the world’s first “stealthy” wind farm in France.

Protective cover for an antenna

Radome Design

Working with Technical Composites Ltd, we have embedded metamaterials into shaped composite materials to develop protective covers for antenna, also known as radomes, with bespoke electromagnetic filtering properties.

Colourbar mapping photomodulation

Metasurface characterisation

A brand new technique for the analysis of metasurfaces, detecting manufacturing flaws and failures on the level of individual elements in an array.
